5 Stage Breast Development In Young Women

Early puberty in girls is common in the age range 8 to 13 years. The earliest sign of puberty in girls is a change in the breast.

Started to grow breasts will look like a small hill with the nipple (areola) wide. This was followed by growth of pubic hair, body odor, acne, high acceleration and weight.

When there is a change in the breast, often young women want to know a lot about the sensitive organs. Knowing the stages of breast development in girls could help make the mind calm during the transition.

Here are 5 stages of breast development in girls:

1. The first stage: the child
Girls are considered as the first stage of breast development from birth to puberty. Breast in children is really flat. The nipple is the only part that stands out from the chest.

2. The second stage: start protruding breasts
Buds grow under the nipples and sometimes it can feel like a lump. Nipple buds makes it stand out and make better-shaped breasts.

The nipple can also be a little sore. Protrusion of the breast is the first sign of puberty for girls. This stage can be started from the age of 7 until the end of the age of 14 years, but there are also juvenile stages of breast development started at the age of between 8.5 to 11 years. This phase usually lasts 2-18 months.

3. Phase three: breast growth
Own breasts began to swell and grow during stage three. The darker circles of skin around the nipple called the areola are called, the bigger and the nipples may be greater as well. This phase usually takes 2 to 24 months.

4. Stage four: nipples start 'hill'
Nipple and areola become greater in stage four. Kathy McCoy, Ph.D. and Charles Wibbelsman, MD explained that during this stage, the nipple and areola may look like a different mass or lump in the breast. The length of the fourth stage ranges from about 8 to 24 months.

5. The fifth stage: adult
Today is the last phase for the development of breasts. Nipple and areola into reintegration into the basic shape of breast and breast grow to adult size, which varies between women.

Within the normal range, girls usually finish this stage at the age of 16 years, but some girls do not finish it until an older age.
